Following the Money
Campaign contributions are the lifeblood of American politics. Every donation over $200 to a federal candidate, PAC, or party committee must be reported to the Federal Election Commission. These filings create a detailed map of who funds whom.
Individual contributions are limited by law, but bundlers, PACs, and joint fundraising committees create pathways for much larger sums to flow. Industries concentrate their giving on the committees and members who oversee their regulation.
Our database captures every FEC-reported donation with donor details, amounts, and recipients. Cross-reference with voting records and lobbying filings to see if money maps to policy.
